In the Backyard

I love our backyard. The nectarine tree is so laiden with fruit that the branches are nearly touching the ground. You can't even see the girls' sandbox that's under the tree. Whenever I sit at the kitchen table I can't help staring in amazement at all of the fruit. It will be another week or two before they're ripe. We can't wait!

I also love to watch all of the birds at the birdfeeder. Whenever I tried to take a picture of all of them they would fly away, no matter how quiet and sneaky I tried to be. You'll have to take my word for it that the garden and feeder are usually teeming with little birds. I can hear all of their tweeting inside the kitchen, even over the sound of the morning cartoons. It's a wonderful, soothing sound to hear all of the happy birds. I hope all of you have a special place, too.

Your garden is beautiful, Robyn. I really enjoy mine as well. My sunflowers grew over 7 feet tall!! My sweet peas didn't do very well though - I put them in a bad spot - oh well, I'll know for next year.
Love you more than ever, Erica xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
