I went and bought a new swing for The Boy this afternoon hoping that it would help him to sleep without me having to hold him every moment of the day. Of course he screamed the whole time I was putting it together, but once it was done and I put him in it he was out. Sweet!!

I could NOT have lived without my swing for the kids. I almost felt guilty about how much I left them in them - almost!!
welcome to the wonderful world of swings! I agree with Erica, and hey, no guilt here either...he looks so cute in it. And the bonus is you can use it as a place for him to have a snack also when he's older.
You know, I had a swing for Moira and Kyla. Moira loved it and I cried when she got too big for it. Kyla tolerated it at best and that's when the motor for it stopped working. It was a crap shoot to buy a new one because I didn't know if The Boy would like it or not. I went to KMart and got the most basic swing I could find. I can't believe how fancy some of them are and how expensive. There was one at Babies-R-Us that was 160$ and it swung in 4 different directions in 6 different speeds. It also had a mobile and played music. It was crazy!
