House Update

Will and I signed the papers for the new house yesterday. It has been a long time coming. Our bank lady and realtor both congratulated us on getting a great house at a great price. Will and I feel good about it and are looking forward to having more room for our growing family.

Of course, in all big changes, my stubborn Taurus bull is showing up and, boy, is it ever a killjoy. It keeps whispering in my ear, "You'll lose your compost bin and won't you feel guilty for throwing your banana peel in the garbage," and "You won't have your clothes line to hang up your laundry when the weather is nice." I try to ignore it by thinking about all the great stuff I can now look forward to like riding my bike to the library and watching the sheep in the back pastures. I'm just not very good at change even if it's for the better.

Will, on the other hand, is very excited, eventhough he hasn't said anything. He got the flat bed trailer from his parents and it's already loaded and ready to go as soon as we get the all clear. He's taking 5 days off this weekend so we can get all of our stuff moved and he's talking about having our first pool party. Will is always on such an even keel so to see his excitement, no matter how subtle it is, is such a treat. I'm happy for him.

I'll get some photos posted soon. Before we start hauling all of our stuff in, I'll take some pictures of the house so you all can see. It really is a nice place and will make a great home for us.
