Poll Results

Happy Sunday, Everyone!

Thanks for partaking in my little poll. Here are the results for "What is your favourite guilty pleasure".

     1 vote fave tv show
     2 votes junk food
2 votes reading other people's blogs
     1 vote other

So, I was the one who voted for "other". While there a couple of tv shows that I like to watch (House and Ghost Whisperer) and I do enjoy potato chips now and again, I wouldn't say that I felt guilty over them. No, my BIGGEST guilty pleasure is daydreaming. I admit, that I probably spend a good 75% of my day in la-la land. Scenarios change, the people are different, sometimes my imaginings are purely made up, sometimes they are based on real life. The one thing that stays consistent is me. Rather, I like to imagine that I am a different person.  I'm successful at whatever career I have chosen, I'm pretty and maybe just a little bit taller. I'm romantic and no nonsense at the same time. I command respect and people listen to me. No one messes with this chick. I imagine the person I would ideally like to be. Maybe one day I will have the courage to become that person. I'll keep you posted.

In the mean time, enjoy the new poll!

You sound like Anne Shirley. I read those Anne of Green Gables books recently and she was such a dreamer too.
You know you really are that person don't you?

Love you, Amanda!

I love those Anne of Green Gables books too. Have you read her other series, Emily of New Moon? I think there are 3 books. They are really good.

Is Emily the girl who writes poems and goes to live with her grandma or aunt or somebody like that? And one time she cuts herself bangs and the aunt makes her cut them really really short so that they won't show at all? If so, I have read the books! I loved them even more than I did Anne of Green Gables.

Terhi, those are the ones! She's an orphan and goes to live with a cranky elderly aunt. She and Anne are similar in a lot of ways, but I liked the Emily books better too. I have all of them. I should re-read them one of these days.
