I voted for 4-6. I follow five on a regular basis, once in a while there are a few more that I look at. Blogs are fun to read, especially when it's someone that you know. You can learn a lot, even when you think you know it all. A lot of people will have them listed on their Etsy shop announcements. That's how I met two very interesting ladies.  Personally, I keep mine private. Only those of you who I invite can see it. Don't you feel privileged? 

On the other side of the blog following, there is blog writing. I happen to have three blogs that I write - The Rogers/Taylor Blogspot (that you are reading now) Adventures in Avon and one for my shop on MoodsXpress and I'm about to be a contributor to a fourth blog, Idaho Indie Works (an Etsy street team). 

I still run into people who don't know how to start a blog or how to get to a one. It's amazing how many newcomers there still are to this. If you happen to run into any of them, don't laugh and say, "Where have you been?" Instead, offer encouragement and help. That's what I try to do, anyway. 

It's a crazy blogging world out there, people. Stay safe!

I knew that as soon as I put the option for a childless dinner that that would be the most popular choice. It is nice to eat without getting up from the table several times to fulfill some kind of request or listen to them complain about the food on their plates. Quiet dinners are rare in our house and are sheer bliss when they do happen.

25 Random Things About Me

I'm sorry that I haven't blogged in a while. I haven't had anything interesting to talk about. Last weekend I was sick, Moira has been on track break for the last three weeks, Liam is adding quite a few new words to his vocabulary and Kyla is being the wretched three year old I always knew she would become (The only thing stopping me from throttling her most days is knowing that Moira grew out of it so I know Kyla will too one day). That's about it. Not that I'm complaining. I think boring is highly underrated. However, it makes for a dull blog.

25 Random Things About Me has been floating around on Facebook lately so I thought that I would copy my own here for you.

1. I hate snakes.

2. I've always wanted to own my own book store. 

3. I like cold pizza for breakfast. 

4. I like to put coffee in my hot chocolate.

5. I like to wear my pj's all day.

6. I don't like to drive.

7. I can't stand to have to have the shampoo and conditioner lids left open.

8. I'm superstitious.

What I've Been Doing

I've been having a busy creative year so far. I like it when the creativity is there. I feel much better when I'm making stuff. Here are a few things that I've been working on. 

I found this, whatever it is, at a thrift store. I think it might be a drawer organizer, but I decided to make it into a shelf for Will to put his shot glasses on. It was plain so I got some shiny navy paper and stamped on it. This was part of his birthday present.

I went to a friend's baby shower last weekend and I made her a gift set. I decorated a hot chocolate container and used it to put the baby shoes, ball and onesie into it. I used coordinating fabric for all the pieces and the container has the same butterflies on it that I used for the onesie. 

I made a series of "Kiss" pendants for the MoodsXpress website. I'm thinking about putting some up on Etsy too. I love these vintage pics. 

I have more stuff in the works for my websites and for the numerous birthdays I have coming up. If you don't hear from me again in the next while, just picture me at my sewing machine or my work table because that's where I'll be.

I was born in 1972 so I was born in the year of the rat. 

The Chinese New Year fell on January 26th this year and is traditionally followed by fourteen days of festivities. The Chinese zodiac revolves around a twelve year cycle and each year is represented by an animal. (Also note that each month day and hour is also represented by an animal. The day and time of your birth are influenced by these animals and is believed that your motivations and personality are in accordance with them.) 2009 is the year of the Ox.
