Redoing my booth was a major part of trying to draw more people to my jewelry, but I also wanted to attract more people to the tent when I'm at the Eagle Market. With rows and rows of white tents, it was getting monotonous. I've been really busy the last couple of weeks trying to spiff up the tent. This is what I did:

I decided to make some fabric lanterns. These don't have lights inside them, but I could get a single bulb with plug in for them. This lantern is a crinkly sheer material that has little sparkles in it. I made the tassels too.

For this lantern I used a linen-look fabric, but because the fabric was so plain, I embroidered starbursts and borders on to it.

I also made this bunting to hang along the front of the tent.

This is what the whole thing looks like. (The table on the left belongs to an IIW colleague.)

I'd like to add a couple more lanterns to it to make it even more exciting. There is always so much that can be done and I'm never satisfied with the way it is. I'm always looking to improve and build on what I've got. Because it's never good enough keeps me motivated and working harder.

Ok, so I know I have said before how inspiring you are, but I have to say it again. Robyn, you are my creative hero! Those lanterns are beautiful, as is the bunting...the starbursts are so cool, kind of 70's retro. How wonderful!

Thanks for all of your kind compliments! I really want to make this work and I'm trying so hard to come up with new and exciting ideas. Next on my agenda is expanding my line of products. I have lots of ideas, but I thought that I had to stick to one thing. It's silly because I sell lots of different things at the Highland Games. Recently I've been encouraged to also try this same strategy on my Etsy site, so this week that's what I'll be doing. Stay tuned!
